i am looking for a compiler to make up a key program with any suggestions? for me if i code anything else at all it would probably just be simple utility type programs havnt really tried much coding in years but now it seems to be required sigh
also cheap is another thing i am looking for

cygwin and gcc are the closest to cheap that I can think of for the Windows platform.

borland cmd line is free for windows platform as well. I use that: http://www.borland.com/products/downloads/download_cbuilder.html

I use the Bloodshed DEV-C++ IDE, comes with MINGW 32 Compiler (gcc compiler for windows), and is very easy to learn. The price is just right as well. :-)
