Greetings!

I am reading around of the discussion and development of stealth keysniffers and so on. The yet returning cause is that Verant should detect what is happening in the memory adress space in our side boxes. I am old in the Linux world, but fairly new to ShowEQ (Btw it works great and it is like all say, EQ is much more funny with it).

Q1: Has anyone yet been detected and banned? And got reason from Verant: We detected that you were using Keysniffer XXX etc. etc. and therefore we ban you.. cheater..

Q2: If Q1 is true, does Verant actually have the legal permissions to scan something in your system (ie memory space) without your legal permission, send it away into their systems and log it, and use it as a legal ground in order to ban someone?

I am going to ask this scenario to my countries IT security advisor department in order to really get a clean definition of this in legal terms.

Please look at the General Diskussion board, there have been lots of different discussions about the legal situation.
Right now there was no attempt to detect a sniffer posted or found. Discussions about detection can be found in this forum repeatedly and for roughly each method/code.
