View Full Version : unknown spawns - left over "stuff" on the map

Just wanted to post what I seen with the "unknown spawns" that add up as you play the game.

1) when a mob is killed, it changes from a "Dot" to a same "+" but still has a motion line and movement. If i loot the body before it stops moving (on the map), i will get an unknown (grey) dot at that location.

2) If a mob despawns, again a (grey) unknown shows on the map.

3) If a player /q or LDs, again a (grey) unknown shows on the map.

These things three things are repeatable for me.

This happened in Lower Guk, with the RH7.2 and the latest CVS.

A similar problem still happens to me with the latest CVS. This is most notable in the case of pets that are despawned using the "Reclaim Energy" spell.

sounds like lag. If SEQ misses the despawn code then it doesn't know to remove the dot. That is the only thing that is consistent for me, lag shows up and unknows start to appear.

Have the same problem when in luclin zones and takes bout 2 to 3 minutes to update then its fine.
