I just read that everspy2 was a commercial project that you would have to pay for. Since commercial apps are here, I thought I'd show XUnleashed (to which I have developed a plugin which has a eq2 map).

Here is a screenie.

Now some users have made maps and they can be found on the website. The maps are SEQ style.

There are alot of other nice plugins there such as a crafting bot, and a harvest bot, and a few others.

The crafting bot pretty much crafts for ya non stop hitting all of the counter buffs.

The harvest bot will go out and mine/gather, etc from all your best harvest spots. You can enter waypoints, avoid spots, wander routes, specific things to harvest, etc. Quite a bit of features.

Anyway, the website is here:

Here is a link to the available plugins for EQ2:

There's quite a few people making things for eq2 so feel free to join the community.

Doesnt XUnleashed for EQ2 use direct memory access? Everspy2 uses passive packet decoding. Pretty big difference IMHO. When I run XUnleashed and close it before I close EQ2, it crashes EQ2, telling me that it probably changes some memory locations as well. When I run Everspy2 and close Everspy2 before I close EQ2, conveniently EQ2 does not crash.

Yes they are two different technologies.

One uses packet sniffing one uses direct memory reads.

Well, the packet sniffer still uses a direct memory reads too to get the key, but why quibble.

Xunleased sounds like what MQ/MQ2 was for EQ.

I guess my only concern would then be that the author of Everspy2 has contributed a whole wealth of information regarding the Everquest2 (and all current SOE games for that matter) packet format with the release of his open source packet dumping program, so it seems he has given a wealth of information back to the community.

XUnleashed on the other hand has given nothing, but sold a few things. You have to pay for a renewing 1-year license to XUnleashed, almost twice that which EverSpy2 is planned to release for. Further, EverSpy2 does not participate in behavior that will hurt the EQ2 community at large (macroharvesting, macrocrafting, etc.).

Unleash used injection of own code in processpace of eq2 and manipulate memory with it. May be they process some datastream decoding/parsing - duno. My biggest concern against Unleash was his injection metode. I'll be glad they use simple Read-/WriteProcessMemory because this will make unleash more user (and of cource API watcher) friendly :P
