I just read this on http://www.rexpage.com/myseq/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2899&PN=1

I'm not sure if this post is appropriate or not, but I will at least try.
I just wanted to inform the folks here that there is still the original version of MySEQ available at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=10131& amp; amp; amp; amp; amp; amp;package_id=80983 (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=10131&package_id=80983) .

There is a new client/server release that works with the 12/7/05 patch. It should have most of the features you are used to using with these newer versions of MySEQ.

The version at sourceforge is GPL, open source and free to anyone. The forums they use are at http://www.$howeq.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=60 (http://www.$howeq.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=60) (you will need to change the '$' to an 's'. For some reason, these forums keep changing the actual URL).

The source code stems from release 1. Release 2 brought some new features, and I am sure Release 3 will have more features. The sourceforge version has been renamed to "MySEQ Open" to differentiate from the one available for download here.

So anyone is welcome to try the free version, and possibly contribute to the project. It will likely not see many, if any, new features over and above what it already has, so if that is enough for you, great. Otherwise you can continue to use the non-GPL version here.

Although it is now difficult, if not impossible, to collect information from MySEQv3 to aid in development of MySEQ Open, the restrictions are not reversed, and never will be.

Happy Holidays.

Looks like they removed the post already.

Typical. My account got banned after I had tried to get them to stop using my stolen filters. I couldn't even reply to the slander they posted about me.

The filters are now with ShowEQ and are now GPL so any chance I had to get them to stop using them is out the window.

If you want me to make a set of filters for the REAL MySeq, let me know. I believe the original just put them all into one file in one string for comparison. It was a sloppy way to do it. If you want to re-work the way it is done, I'll do what I can to help.

When the other MySEQ moved away, they used a similar filter method as ShowEQ v4.xx. The only thing different (besides them stipping out all the references to me and ShowEQ) was that they stripped out anything with a #.
