Gilson,

The files you have already installed are stored in /usr/portage/distfiles
There is probably a sexier way to get this listing, but that will work until you delete those files to free up disk space....
Offsets are no longer needed in ShowEQ. SEQ is completely passive again, but unfortunately was busted by this weeks patch. I was soooo enjoying the passive SEQ. :(
At least there is some good...
Hmmm, how can I put this gently....
I LOVE YOU MAN!!! Of course in a brotherly kind of way ;)
Your QT libs may not have been configured properly when they were compiled. Either download the 2.3.2 version as recommended above or grab qt-3.0.6 (this works for me). There are other posts about...
Jeeves,
You thinking of the same live team that I am? ;)
I wouldn't think such a commercial application exists Hedge. Who is the target consumer of a memory sniffer? Hackers. Would hackers buy this? Probably not, they can write their own.
Basically...
Not sure if this will affect SEQ users in any way, but I'm compiling it as I type this.
Yes, I remebered -thread :p
This may be true in some cases, but I complile without errors with qt-3.0.5 and I don't pass along a flag to skip QT verification.
After donating, you will get a nice penguin icon like you see to the left ;)
Use the optional command I listed to tell the ./configure where to look for your QT installation. If you havent compiled SEQ in a while then I would guess you have qt-2.3.2.
The command will look...
There is a link at the top-right side of the screen that is named CVS. That link provides the information you need.
The CVS link is here: CVS
Hit enter when prompted for a password when you...
Here's a data point for those of you with low-end graphics cards.
Athlon XP1800+

Gentoo Linux 1.4_rc1 (/w Alsa sound, KDE, KDE sound server disabled)
Geforce256 (yep, the first gen...
There's so much love in this forum. I can feel it radiating out from my monitor... oh wait, that's just my cheap ass unshielded monitor.
Point#2 is well taken. I will find another ebuild to play with.
I am about to try Gentoo 1.4_rc1. SEQ should be straightforward there as well. Ratt -- did you roll your own qt-3.0.5 or just...
Based on the above comments, I believe an ebuild would be too painful to do on Gentoo 1.2 because of all the different gcc-3.x that people are using. In Gentoo 1.4 I think it should be quite a bit...
There are really 2 tricks to getting SEQ to work on Gentoo 1.2. The first is emerging gcc-3.1 (what I use) or gcc-3.2 (I haven't tested this) and the second is having the right qt install for SEQ.
...
I have given some thought to taking a crack at writing an ebuild script for SEQ on Gentoo Linux so I can learn more about how ebuilds work, but I just don't give a ratt's ass about EQ anymore (Sorry...
Bobbib,
If you're looking for the easiest Linux distribution then you should consider Mandrake (http://www.mandrakelinux.com). Most reviews that I have read indicate that Mandrake is easier for a...
It was true earlier today. Sourceforge must have experienced some technical difficulties that have now been resolved.
In defense of our friend who didn't RTFM, the sourceforge CVS does not work the same as days of old. Nothing is listed if you click the link to browse the CVS repository and then click the link for...
Not sure what to tell you kaos057. Ditching the EN104 and swapping in my old Linksys allows SEQ to decode for me. If I swap back to the Netgear, I end up dead in the water again. I wouldn't run...
I should have been a tad more specific...
My old hub was an EN104TP (I forgot about the TP tagged onto the end). The EN series is 10Mbit only, so your problem is not related to asynchronous...
FWIW, SEQ did not work on my Netgear EN104 hub, so I had to switch to a different brand.
The /usr/local tree should look nearly identical to the /usr tree. Thus you could consider putting all new stuff in /usr/local versus letting it go into /usr. Or consider moving some of the...
