    Crashes

    I had ShowEQ compiled on my Red Hat 9.0 machine. The version I have is 4.3.16. I was had been playing for the past week with no problems at all and then all of a sudden I zone and I get a segmentation fault error after playing for a couple hours.

    The last message i got was:

    Loaded map: '/usr/local/share/showeq/Nektulos.map'
    No Zone Specific filter file '/usr/local/share/showeq/filters_nektulos.conf'.
    Loading default '/usr/local/share/showeq/filters.conf'.
    Player::zoneBegin(): Pos (-1105.000000/2252.000000/1.000000) Heading: 511.000000TIME: 22:59 10/12/3176
    EQTime [10:59 pm]
    Segmentation fault

    I deleted the showeq directory and re-compiled everything. It was working for about 20 minutes and then all of a sudden, CRASH with the same error.

    I originally got the the error when I zone into Innothule Swamp and Gukta. I see that I have no map named Gutka in the maps directory, should there be one. Regardless though, whenever I zone at all now it crashes. Any ideas what's going on? Thanks.

    Are you playing on Test, live, European, etc... servers? I would guess that it is crashing on zone because it is hitting packets that it can't decode.

    I have the same exact problem. Getting Segmentation faults, I upgraded to .17 and still have the same problem. Happened ever since the last patch. Any ideas?

    17 isn't the latest version, 17.1 with patches is.

    Ohhhh.......ohhhhhhh. I have an idea...........Read the damned forums.
    To search, or not to search,--that is the question:--
    Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
    The slings and arrows of outrageous flaming
    Or to take a look at the search function,
    And by using it, end them?
