    Performance issues with SEQ 4.3.18

My system (RH 7.3, 866MHz PIII, 512MB RAM) used to be ready before my PC finished zoning. With 4.3.18 SEQ stays "busy zoning" for up to 15-20 seconds after I've already loaded into the zone.

Nothing (that I know of) has changed in the configuration with either my systems. It's primary (if not only) function is SEQ.

Anyone else notice a change in performance in regards to zoning?

To verify my suspiscions, I am going to download 4.3.17.1 (and apply the patches) and test its performance vs 4.3.18.

Others have suggested disabling the item db since that seems to have come back up as a performance hit again.

    performace issue

    Hello,

I had this same issue back in 4.3.17.1 and i read a different
post that suggested moving the filters i downloaded from blueadepts
web site. After removing those everything worked fine.

I'm not using BA's filter files.

Well, the performance between a patched version of 4.3.17.1 and 4.3.18 were almost identical...

So I guess it's not SEQ.

I had this issue, but start ShowEQ with the --itemdb-disable command fixed it.

I tried the --itemdb-disable and it helped my zoning time a bunch, so that is definitely where the performance issue is.

    Thanks for the help!
