    Audible spawn alerts.

For the life of me I can't get a .wav file to play from within ShowEQ.

I'm running the latest beta from CVS (8/28/04). In Filters -> Audio Commands -> Locate I have:

    /usr/bin/aplay /usr/local/share/showeq/sc.wav &

This command works from a command line. I can also cat it to /dev/dsp and it works fine.

The filters are working, I get the flashing white circle with a line drawn to the spawn. But no sound.

I'm logged in as root, so I'm sure it's not a permission issue. I'm running Gentoo with a 2.6 kernel.

Is there something I am overlooking?

I think there was a check item that needed to be enabled in the menus (something like use commands). Might need it checked to get it to use external program calls.

Can't find anything like what you're talking about in the menus or showeq.xml
