    There can be only one...

    Sorry, little highlander humor there...

No, I only have one copy of libEQ.a in /usr/lib.
That was apparently not the problem. I completely tossed everything out. (/usr/local items, /seq/showeq dir, etc.) Completely re-downloaded from CVS (oddly enough, I did this the first time, as well), applied the patch, and re-compiled. It now works. I can only guess there was something in /usr/local that was the culprit. I've been a *nix coder since 1988 and still am amazed at some of the things that will fix problems. LOL
(Like putting a printf statement in the spelllist window making it work...strange, but hey...)
Anyway, if anyone else has this problem, basically try removing everything and starting fresh. Cheers, and good luck!

Working fine here, had 2 or 3 Segfaults, but can be due to running 3 sessions on on linux Pc and still using qt 2.3.2

    Thumbs up Mvern

Mvern, It might interest you to know that probably (ratt's estimate) 50,000 people around the world think you are just about the coolest person we've met in a long time.

Thanks so much for the fix man and know that there are MANY people out there who would buy you a beer, a pizza, and would be happy to call you their friend.

    Sincerely,
    Seqcleric

    Amazing

At work so I cant try this out yet, but why is this a "temp" fix? Does it not show mobs? Something still not working?

Hell, wether it shows mobs or not, it's great to actually be able to do something with it! Kudos brother!

The most "important" features work, however, keep in mind, almost EVERY opcode and struct was changed, so a lot of work is left to be done.

    Awesome fix mvern!

Was there a new libEQ released? Using the latest CVS and applying the patch, I get GPS/Map functionality and with Show Unknow Spawns set, can see gray dots on the map. No spawn decoding though. :/

Edit: Never mind. I feel really stupid. Forgot to set the udp port on SEQ to match my sniffer. All working swimmingly now.

    Offset

    Current correct offset is 0x007c3448
Have you made sure that is what you're using for the key?

    Thanks, mvern.

FYI, as of a few hours ago, the gm in the irc channel had the wrong offset. instead of 448, it had 498. One of the irc ops may want to look into that.
