currently using slackware 8.0 4.0 seq, dumb question, my monitor blanks when im idle for like 60-120 seconds while in window maker. Could anyone be so helpful as to tell me how in the world to make that like 10 years idle time before it blanks my screen (KDE never did that) I did check the different "settings" type menus in window maker and could not find monitor/video etc.
Thanks for listening.

edit your "XF86Config-4" (or take out the -4 if you are using 3.x.x of XF86) and find the line that reads something like "dpms on" and change it to "dpms off"

There's a bunch of useful threads about this. HERE's (http://seq.sourceforge.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=334&highlight=xset) one that should prolly work for you. Use the search function (http://seq.sourceforge.net/search.php?s=) and search on "xset" if you need/want more info... :D
