I got show EQ installed and such according to what i was told to do. I start it up and my reg eq account and well fiddled with stuff but cannt get it to work i was told by the guide to do this ..../usr/local/share/showeq/showeq.conf to include your EQ machine's IP address and any other options you deem handy.

BUT i do not have showeq.conf anywhere. Might i have done something wrong? i re did the whole thing just to make sure i didnt but any info you can give would be much appreciated

well.. did you do what it says?

either do 8a or 8b.. type the commands exactly as they are given... i dont understand what your question is?

showeq.conf is no longer used in any way by ShowEQ, get the latest Install.newbies from Patches (*points to the right top side of this page*), read, digest and it should work.

Also, dont edit over your old post... it makes the thread quite difficult to read, and wont help anyone else who comes along with the same problem...
