I'm using a fresh install of Redhat 7.2 and I get the following error during make. I get no error messages during ./configure.

/usr/lib/qt3/include/qobject.h:157: void
QObject::activate_signal (int, QString)
/usr/lib/qt3/include/qobject.h:159: void
QObject::activate_signal (QConnectionList *, QUObject *)
make[2]: *** [m_packet.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/showeq-2.1.2/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/showeq-2.1.2'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

Any ideas?

Mine failed suring the make process 2x but worked on the third

have you tried several times?

When I update with cvs I usually have about a 50% succes rate with the make comand. I have to just keep doing it till it works.

Yeah, I've tried it about 20 times.

Were you following any of the install howtos/Guides?

I'm just following the INSTALL file. Is there another one I should be using?

Check the latest INSTALL.newbies over at the Patches section (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=310131&group_id=10131&func=browse) the one in the current CVS is a bit outdated.

I followed it to the letter and still get the same error :(

Gee, guess this could be a problem.

I think he means that showEQ 2.1.2 is approx 2 years old... might want to try getting the newest version.. check the howto for information on how to do that..

Ok, I've been all over Sourceforge and can't find the Howto you are referring to. There is the newbie install doc but that doesn't say how to find the latest version. Can anyone post a URL to the Howto that everyone keeps talking about? Thanks.
