Is there a way to compile ONLY the map.cpp file?

I have been playing with the map.cpp file and was wondering if there is a shortcut to compile only the map.cpp file instead of waiting for a complete re-compile(on my machine it takes about 45 mins)? Thanks

edit map.cpp, then type make...

no need to make clean, rerun configure etc.

I was able to turn of the BLINKING CIRCLES and Stop the lines being drawn. So It was a complete success. ;)
