Maybe i could get help from linux forums too, but since you guys know so much, i ll ask here.
I m trying to play .wav in seq, using esdplay. the problem is : esdplay just won t play the sound ...
Im running Mandrake and KDE can play sound perfectly, but nothing from esdplay. The sound file is here, i can ply it in KDE, but not from esdplay.
I reinstalled the dev RPM of all the sound packages, but still nothing :(

Do you have any advice please ? :)

Try searching google.com and google.com-groups for edsplay.

The problem might be that it is a compressed .wav file.

I had similar problems with sounds from www.soundamerica.com. What I had to do was to run winamp and output it back to a true .wav file. Then it worked fine.

You might want to verify that the file is not compressed before hunting all over for a fix for a problem that might be as simple as the wave file your using.
