Trying this out, have a linux machine pulling an ip adress off of a DCHP server/internet gateway which is also the box used to play eq with.

The linux box can't see anything from any of the IP adresses i could find (PPP, AOL, etc) put them all on the same subnet, same result.

I have several network cards and other stuff, and i can do just about anything hardware wise if anyone has a jury rigged type fix or suggestion.

Also, does anyone know how to utilize AOL DSL without using the damn Aol Software? This isn't really important, but I am very interested in finding a way to do it.

HELP!

thanks,

I'm a newb, but sounds like you may have two problems. First, your EQ box can't be your internet gateway unless you are using some form of UDP packet forwarding software. The EQ trafic goes back and forth over your dsl and doesn't spam itself out on the network. Second, does AOL use that funky PPPoE protocal? If so, that may be a problem also. Search for PPPoE and gateway.
