After numerous attempts to fresh install it on a new install of "Limbo", and numerous failures (hey, i aint great at this linux thing yet) I did this..

Use this guide (http://seq.sourceforge.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=273) and install showeq on a fresh install of redhat 7.2. Great guide.

Install Redhat "Limbo" using the upgrade function, instead of a fresh install, youll get a dependancy error if you try to run showEQ now... sucks dont it? It WAS running. Download this hmya (ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/updates/7.2/en/os/i386/libstdc++3-3.0.4-1.i386.rpm) and this hmya (ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/updates/7.2/en/os/i386/libstdc++3-devel-3.0.4-1.i386.rpm). RPM the files from the command line (I used "rpm -ivh filename filename" format). It runs.. Happy day. Havent yet actually tested it to see if it WORKS, but it atleast runs now :)
