pcap problem

Hi all, let me start out by saying thanks for the hard work in developing such a nice program. Now, I have a problem when running showeq ... i get the line

"pcap error : pcap_open_live(ip addy) : bind: no such device"

I'm running Mandrake8.2 on an athlon box -- i have gotten showeq to run on this hardware before (the only difference now being the network card, and it has the same chipset - RT8139) everyting compiles fine and otherwise the machine runs wonderfully. I've tried searching this forum and outside but can only find problems with one of the pcap libs not being installed - which is not the case here. I'm running showeq as root, from a standard user desktop. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any info...

You are invoking ShowEQ incorrectly, i beleive. Take a look at the FAQ/walkthrough, and make sure you are using the correct parameters.

Interesting, the install faq i read and still use said to use the "-i" option. When starting it with no flags everything runs fine :) many thanks kind sir(s) for your help.
