Dear nice enough people to reply or flame:

Ok i'll start by listing what type of setup I am currently using:

I got a win2k box with a vmware linux workstation running RH 7.3
I have showeq running.
I am able to see my linux side traffic on win2k with netstat but I believe that
the VMware NAT device is filtering the packets thus blocking SEQ from decoding
the packets on the linux side. So my problem is the NAT device which vmware
uses to share my adsl(no pppoe) between the two, or thats what I think anyway.

I'm praying to the computer gods that there is a way around this NAT filtering or rerouting thing.
when i do a tcpdump, linux just shows a bunch of :

xxxx arp who-has 192.168.192 tell 192.168.19.1

when i zone in eq, tcpdump doesnt dectect any eqzone type packets so this is why
i think the vm NAT is doing the deed. so basically what i am asking is if there is anyway
to route the packets thru win2k directly to linux? i have very little networking skills
(among others:) but i can use any information you guys/gals care to repeat ;)

thanks in advance, please ask if you need other specifications about my setup i know
i didnt make it to clear but i hope you can help.
such as, "linux side traffic", i mean when i'm using linux for like irc and i look at netstat
on windows i can see the irc connection thru the vmnat.exe

thanks again

Try having VMware act as a pass-thru to the network instead of it's own NAT? SEQ worked fine for me in VMWare soing that.

He means set the virtual networking adapter of the VM to bridged not to NAT - works fine, but i prefer to have a "real" System ... VM is great for testing :)
