Mandrake 9.0beta 4

Has anyone tried to install SEQ on Mandrake 9.0beta 4 yet. I did a search for it but didn't see it, i saw a post about 9.0beta 2 tho. Was just curious before I install it tonight.

Then looking at some of the other posts I'm almost thinking of getting 8.2 and try that one first.

I'd never recommend to install a Beta (of any program) as a first install. Go with the 8.2

If you can wait a bit more, they are already on RC1 for Mandrake 9.0, won't be too much longer before the final release.

thanks for the info. Ill download 8.2 tonight and mess with the beta for fun.

Actually, i have it running on 9.0b4 right now..

Installed without a hitch.. though i was hasty and missed the install RPMs of pine, and.. something else... a quick rpmfind.net visit fixed that...

Havent bothered to find and burn RC1... since i only just put beta4 on here a week or so ago :/

Hoping the final release doesnt break anything.. my box is running so well now..


BTW... the KDM login manager SUCKS!

to change it to the gdm login manager, edit /etc/sysconfig/desktop to read DISPLAYMANAGER=gdm instead of =kdm... this isnt configureable through a menu in x... that ive found.
