I read thru all the FAQ's and the RedHat 7.2 setup and i am wondering if running 7.3 will
be a required upgarde anytime soon. I mean will the developers stop making a version
that will run on Redhat 7.2.

I am worried about upgarding to 7.3, after reading the horror stories from when people upgraded.

Just a note, the guide to getting Showeq running on Redhat 7.2 is incredible, i hope that
someone will put together a new one for the future releases

I highly doubt it. The only reason that getting it to run on 7.3 is a problem, is because gcc3 is not included in the distribution. As long as you have the correct packages you need to build seq, it will run. In theory you could run seq on RH 6.x as long as you have the correct packages. You are fine on 7.2 for a long time, possibly until the end of the project...

Yep, runs just fine on 7.3... Just gotta have the packages. I think there is even a "walk through" for 7.3, or atleast a set of helpful hints. Should be able to search (http://seq.sourceforge.net/search.php?s=) for it. ;)
