Ding, IMMEDIATELY zone and using SEQ record the EXACT total numeric exp your character has. Come back to these boards and post your Race, Class and Level along with that total exp.

If enough people do it with enough characters then the SEQ developers (or just normal users) will have an easier time figuring out what the new formulas are for 51 - 60.

This is the ONLY way to truly figure it out.

Started a new thread to post these. If the value of xxx is important send me a PM. I don't what it easy for someone searching EQ Server logs to say "Hmm who just dinged with this experience number." I doubt the under a thousand values are important for calculating the level points anyway.

DING! 56 Wood-Elf Druid 349,538,xxx

Edit: BTW if you haven't figured this out yet, (I hadn't) you have to check "Use Stdout" under Interface in order to see your actual XP upon zoning.

I started working on the new EXP tables after 50 as soon as the patch was put out, but with no information to go on....

The amount (349,538,XXX) you posted are the same they were if you had just dinged 56 in the old system.

For a Wood Elf Druid to get level 56 it took a total of 349,387,500 exp.

So it looks like SEQ is not giving back the right information, or it is and the EXP change is all done in fractions. So you really have the same amount of EXP needed as before and are just getting more or less EXP per kill depending on your level.

The simplest way to even out the EXP over the levels is take the factor that was needed for level 60 before (3.0). Then take away the factor that is need for level 50 (1.4).

1.6!

Stretch that over the 10 levels… 51-60 and you have. (For a Wood Elf Druid)

Level Starting Exp Ending Exp Level exp Level Factor

51 177,500,000 209,588,580 32,088,580 1.58
52 209,588,580 244,657,920 35,069,340 1.74
53 244,657,920 282,866,300 38,208,380 1.9
54 282,866,300 324,375,840 41,509,540 2.06
55 324,375,840 369,352,500 44,976,660 2.22
56 369,352,500 417,966,080 48,613,580 2.38
57 417,966,080 470,390,220 52,424,140 2.54
58 470,390,220 526,802,400 56,412,180 2.7
59 526,802,400 587,383,940 60,581,540 2.86
60 587,383,940 648,000,000 60,616,060 3

For the few of you that don’t know the old numbers are…

Level Old Enter Old End Old Exp Old Factor

51 177,500,000 198,976,500 21,476,500 1.5
52 198,976,500 224,972,800 25,996,300 1.6
53 224,972,800 253,090,900 28,118,100 1.7
54 253,090,900 299,181,600 46,090,700 1.9
55 299,181,600 349,387,500 50,205,900 2.1
56 349,387,500 403,916,800 54,529,300 2.3
57 403,916,800 462,982,500 59,065,700 2.5
58 462,982,500 526,802,400 63,819,900 2.7
59 526,802,400 616,137,000 89,334,600 3
60 616,137,000 648,000,000 31,863,000 3

Sony told us 2 things…

1 That it would take the same amount to exp… So that tells us that level 60 has the same factor as before.

2 That it takes more exp to max out level 60 now then it did before.

So that is how I can up with the scale.

This is very similar to the ways the fixed the 30-50 hell levels.

I truthful have no idea if these numbers are right, and as far as I can see no way to find out. If SEQ is bring back the same numbers as before then it looks like the level EXP changes were done with factions. This would also make most the work that has been done to find out how much EXP mobs are giving now useless. You would be able to tell if a level 55 mob give 10% more EXP then a level 54, but not the real number.

Looks plausible.

The exp for levels 30 - 50 was actually moved to fit the new curve as opposed to adjusting the exp given to the player per kill based on their level (other than the standard light blue vs blue or greater). This could be seen since the World servers still send the exact numeric amount of exp to the client everytime you zone and the numbers for current level would be off from what the client was showing (e.g. SEQ said you were 30% through 30, EQ client said you were 60%)

P.S. Numbers given are not actual numbers, just an example for illustration purposes :)

The Rangers numbers you posted are the old system also.

It really looks like this new EXP table is calculated. If it is and the old EXP is being sent to the client, then all the calculations are being done on the server.

If this were the case, killing and counting would be the only sure way to know the EXP

Actually it appears that the EXP table itself hasn't been moved at all. VI just stuck in exp code that causes mobs to give you more or less exp than before based on level difference and current level. Guess they figured for characters over 50 that it was better to not actually move players progression around (like they did with 30 - 50) and to instead just give them more exp to help clear the "hell" 54 and 59 levels.

Dinged from Lvl 57 to 58
ExpAA: 5,624,281 (123/330) left 9,375,719 - 1/330 = 45,454
Exp: 212,733 (1/330) left 69,989,157 - 1/330 = 212,733

Is that what you saw in the console as you dinged, or did you ding, then zone and get the total from there?

Was more like fight , big train , kill a bunch, Ding, kill last mob in train and then zone.

And this is what I saw in the terminal screen after I zoned.
