Configure Error?

Got Mandrake 9.0 installed, and have started installing SHOWEQ. I get to the part where I type "./configure". It goes into the checking process and then gives me a configure error...

configure: error: cannot find pcap_open_live in libpcap. Read the INSTALL file.

Does this mean I have a bad version of libpcap? I appreciate any help.

Do a search on this board with the words:

I also recently installed SEQ on Mandrake 9.0 and had the same problem. I had to go back and make sure the libpcap0 and libpcap0-devel packages were installed.
I found them on both rpmfind.net and with the distribution package. Once I installed those packages it worked just fine.

I use this command and options to find RPM packages.

rpm -qa | grep libpcap0

I am at work so I cannot check the exact version I installed. I hope this works for you as well. If not, then search the help section for the error. That's what I did.
