startx problem

when i run startx i get an error message
execve failed for /etc/X11/X (errno 2)
giving up.
xinit: No such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server

xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server Error.

looks like you either haven't installed or haven't configured a X server for your graphics card, monitor etc. or you haven't installed X11 at all.

Not really a SEQ problem more like a general install problem.

If you have the X11 packages installed already you may be able to configure your system with xf86config.
