Ok, I downloaded the update. I snagged the libEQ.a file .

make clean
./configure
make

gets an error after a bit:

decode.o: In Function 'EQDecode::LocateKey()': /seq/linux/src/decode.cpp:153: undefined reference to 'Findkey'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status.

I did the export lines before doing the make clean, etc..

any ideas?

I am going to wipe out the whole shebang and grab it all again fresh...

any help would be appreciated.

BTW: there was no solution to the post a couple lines down..

just so you know..

As I have replied there, I have done it all over again.

Used the linux.newbies file instructions.. still getting this error.

The only thing left is to check to ensure that I have the right versions of everything installed. Funny, nothing changed on this system. (this is all I do with this system.. Dual Pentium 200 , 128 MB ram, ATA 33 10 GB drive).

the old Showeq compiled fine. I did have one small problem originally, but that was solved by me export'ing the locations to the shell right before I did the make -f Makefile.Dist.

I am not a linux guru (or extremely knowedgeable about linux) but how do you check the versions of the compiler and rpm's? And can someone post what versions should be ?

Thanks in advance for not flaming me....
