Inetd or Xinetd equivalant for Windows?

I was wondering if there was an equivalant program or service for windows that did the same thing as inetd does for Linux.

I think the idea behind what I'm getting at would be pretty apparent but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone already has something like this working.

have you tried Cygwin? they might have xinetd in there. i don't know for sure.
