Is This a Bug or Just a Setting I Have Wrong?

With the latest version of SEQ when I hit the + or - key to zoon in or out it only works occasionaly. Other times I have to point and click on the zone part of the UI. Anyone else have this problem or do I have a setting wrong?

mouse focus over map window, +/- are zoom hot keys but only for the map widget, they aren't global.
