Applying a patch!

Hey there, I'm new to the showeq community (and linux altogethor, actually). So try to be patient with me... *grins*... I installed showeq and have everquest running with winex, I ran across the winex patch (used the search function) and downloaded it. How do I apply one of these patches?

You'll have a hard time getting help with something like that because the command syntax is dependant on where your source and patch lives on your machine. Start with the manual page and go from there. You'll want to read the "SEA ALSO" section as well. The commands/ manual pages listed there are relevant.
