Read the documentation that comes with the software.

see this is what I mean

"read the documentation with the software"

Is it THAT hard to point to anything specific? I know how enjoyable it is to say "RTFM" but give me a break..we are not hear to decrypt anything special.

Just because you have it working on your end doesnt mean I do

Clear and concise questions are as important as reading and following directions...

Hint:
INSTALL.newbies

maybe you can not read what I have said

I asked for a possible instruction guide..not to be spread out over numerous threads to get some singular information. I gave as much info as needed..fresh install blah blah yet I still get the ol "RTFM". I contributed a while ago with other updates and was semi appreciated however I do not feel the love this turn..

again I ask is it really that hard to have a singular point of information? I understand there are different releases and versions as well as diff *nix platforms but even then.. there are MUST requirements and MUST haves. Make 1 point of info and you wont have people asking 50 million questions

You want a single point to get all the information? Try the install.newbies file as you were directed to before. Want more help than that? Read the FAQ that linked to from the main page. Still need more help, click the link after the FAQ on the main page.

There is no documentation other than what folks have already pointed out in this thread. namely:
* INSTALL.newbies and the other text files included in the CVS distribution
* the FAQ
* stuff posted in the forums

Obviously that is not a truthful statement.

Last time I checked a "A possible instruction guide" is the same thing as the "FM" which you said you read already, or perhaps you don't know what RTFM actually means.

If you asked a Clear and Concise question in the first post please point us to it. I fail to even see a single question mark in your first post.

Try this link to get to the newbie.install file.

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=662937&group_id=10131&atid=310131

This can be navigated to by using the "Patches" link at the top of the page. I don't know if a link to the file could be placed in the help section but this is where and how to find this very helpful file.

Sorry for your frustration ... you are not alone!

We've already pointed him to that file, and obviously that's not what he's looking for. I was just attempting to find out what he *IS* looking for.

If the INTALL.newbies is what he's looking for, hopefully he'll finally listen to you... /shrug

That should give us a clue what he is really missing. too lazy to read the newest version of the FAQ, and too lazy to read the forums. especially not interested in reading any of the newly created forums, and all that fun windows programming stuff. certianly isn't going to search on "unknown spawns" or "gps mode" i am sure.

oh well. we tried. I'm just going to STFU and not say any more. bye bye scriptkiddie.
