At a command line, type "df -k". Is your filesystem full?

If it is, try deleting, or compressing /usr/local/share/showeq/spawnlog.txt. That file gets very very large after a while.

If it's not full, post the output of that command anyway. It may help.

This is an old bug in the way the linux kernel and glib interpret ulimit. It is caused by the parent shell being initiated by a mortal user and then using su. Seems su doesnt assume everything it should. There is a lot of info about this on the web, try google'ing that error and tagging linux and su to the end of the google querry

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22File+size+limit+exceeded%22+linux+su&btnG=Google+Search

You might try using sudo.

go to your /usr/local/share/showeq and delete your world log. this fixed mine.

Turn off world and spawn logging then do a search for .log files as learningquick suggested.

Works a charm :)

PS when I had this happen i found my world log was 2gb. yeah a bit big.

Thks all for y help !
i have find 2 files very big ?
zone.log and Global.log -> Each 2.0Gb
the others look a normal size.
i just copied this big files in another directory , and then delete it !
(hehe i m a carreful man)

reboot computer.

then trying Showeq ...
didn t work at all , no more limits error but no maps and
much warning to decode it ...
but today we had a patch
so may be it s not the right time
to try what was wrong.
i think we all have the same
SHOWEQ dont work , or ?
so i wait to see what to do with
this new patch.

i ll be patient and sure that the great people here will find it !

thks
