I tried to use the CVS with the following command:

cvs -d:pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/seq/ login

It said:
logging into :pserver:[email protected]:2401/cvsroot/seq

Then I got CVS password:
Which I promptly hit enter like I usually did.

Then I got:
cvs [login aborted]: end of file from server(consult above messages if any)

There are no above messages, so I was wondering what was going on, and how to fix it.

I ran a search, and didnt find any similar problems before, and it has worked before. It stopped working ever since the LoY patch came out. Have the disabled it so they dont get a flood of complaints until they figure out the LoY packets?

It's not something that's directly ShowEQ-related. The CVS servers are run by sourceforge. I think the 'end of file' message is caused when the servers are under heavy load or something. I got that message for a day or two once, and then it started working again.

It actually still works even though you get that message.

I saw that same message about 2 weeks ago, wonder what it was for about 30 seconds, and went on with my fresh download to my new Gentoo box  .

Gentoo is so nice to work with. Simple and yet complex when you want it. What a joy.
