..Tribute.

A long time ago.. me and my friend Borscht here,
We was lurkin' alone on a dull and borin' forum.
When all of a sudden, there shined a dirty ass Ratt
In the middle.. of the forum.

And he said!
"Write the best post in the world,
or I'll ban you fucks."

Well, me and Borscht
We looked at each other
And we each typed..
"Okay."

And we wrote the first thing that came to our heads
Just so happened to be, the best post in the world.
It was the best post in the world.

Look at the time and its easy to see
That posting this late means I'm quite lonely
..won't someone.. talk.. to me

Once every couple hundred posts or so,
When the servers are down, and our views doth grow
And the flames doth flow-oh.

Needless to say, the Ratt was stunned.
Whip-crack went his fucking tail,
And the admin was done.

He asked us: "Be you a hax0rs?"
And we wrote, "Nay.. we are but trolls, rock!"
Ahhh, ahhh, ahhh-ah-ah,
Ohhh, whoah, ah-whoah-oh!

This is not the greatest post in the world, no.
This is just a tribute.
Couldn't bookmark the greatest post in the world, no, NO.
This is a tribute, ooohh, to the greatest post in the world,
All right! It was the greatest post in the world,
All right! It was the best muthafuckin' post the greatest post in the world.

gee, ooh de flliga goo gee ooga fligoo giggoo ooh fligoo giggoo ge gee oogah
goo gee oogah geegoogegegee, fligoo giggoo,oh flig, oh mama casey

And the peculiar thing is this my friends:
The post we wrote on that fateful night it didn't actually look
anything like this post!

This is just a tribute. You gotta believe me.
And I wish you were there. Fucking Sony keeping us down.
Just a matter of opinion.
Ah, fuck! Dev team, gotta love 'em.
So surprised to find you can't stop 'em.
On fire, leet motha fuckas are the lords of codin'
All right! All right!

Ok board lizard, I thought you were sort of lame at first, but the repost of this was pretty classic :)

Long Live Seq and Tenacious D!

:)

Those of you who don't know what this is from, Get on Kazaa and download Tribute by Tenacious D, listen to it a couple times (get the one from the actual album, not the live version) and then read this again. I got a kick out trying to sing the changes :)

I would warn against using Kazaa. There are plenty of binaries NGs and good old fashioned IRC for all of your mp3 needs. No need to backdoor yourself for the sake of free tunes...

and there aren't infected binaries in NGs or IRC?

Yea...but when you install Kazaa it puts a bunch of spyware and software that is almost impossible to remove without screwing up your pc.

so use Kazaalite, all of the sharing, none of the spyware.

I personally haven't heard of someone putting together an mp3 intrusion method, but then with anything you download from the internet, it's caveat emptor, yes? My warning has nothing to do with binaries, it has everything to do with allowing security breaches into your system.

Kazaa is spyware. I seriously doubt that any product by Kazaa doesn't do some sort of snooping. I personally don't use it as I'm not willing to abide the risk of being backdoored. I don't damn you for your choice, but I also believe that anyone who is being recommended to use known spyware be aware of the alternatives available to them.

Awe Crap. Now we gonna be slammed by the RIAA as well as
Sony

Rock on!

P.S. Concur on kazaalite. Just be careful you are not getting trojaned duplex extension stuff. In other words be just as careful as you are on the rest of the net.

Also... Try re-associating the .pif, .bat, .scr, .vbs and other crap executables with notepad. AV software doesn't catch legit programs repackaged for illicit purposes.

I kinda like those on the Windows box. Neither have spyware and both work quite well.

What do you guys use on Linux? I have used Gnutella of course and just recently tried Limewire.

I have an IRC client and I hit some of the better channels on Undernet. I have yet fail in finding the song I'm looking for...

Kazaalite is a hacked version of Kazaa. Its had all the stuff that you mention taken out.
