Greetings,

I downloaded the client on my secondary computer, put the maps in the maps directory and ran the server on the host computer with EQ. The server starts up and says waiting for connection, but when I try to start the client program, I get a dialog:

myseq.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.

I would appreciate any insight as to how to fix this problem.

Thank you for your time.

Search for Application Error (http://seq.sourceforge.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3159&highlight=Application+Error)

You need to load you framework .Net Files for the app to work. Download the below and give it a shot.

Thanks for the help,

And I did use the search, but I only searched the MySEQ forums, because I thought a relavent answer would be there.

Nice program, it's a great alternative until SEQ is working again.

Im also getting the error.

myseq.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=yadda yadda, Thread id=more yadda (changes every run)

Click Ok to terminate the application.

Windowz XP with .NET Framework 1.1 loaded on both machines.

Server side works fine except it says 1.7 instead of 1.8.

MySeq side gives error message on execution.

Even went so far as to redownload and install .NET 1.1 again

Any help in this would be great ;-)

Dunno, does it do it as soon as the app starts? The Version ID is my fault yet again... At the moment I have 2 folders in different directories for the release and devel versions that are named the same and occasionally I mess up which I have open and tha tis the cause of the messed up version numbers... The source is going into cvs tomorrow morning though at which point all devel code will be there and release will be in the zips

Odd, it's probably missing a file and bombing when it tries to load it. Do you have a filters.conf file in the directory with myseq.exe?

I can't get it to run on XP either. I also have .NET Framework installed.

And I run other .NET applications with no problem.

Also, I'm on Windows XP with all the latest updates installed. This also crashes on a Win 2k Pro machine (same message) that has framework installed.

My directory sturcture is:
\\server\share\folder\folder\folder\MySEQ
Maps:
\\server\share\folder\folder\folder\MySEQ\maps

I just unzip the files in the zip file and launch the myseq.exe file in the client directory and bam.

Would it help to copy it locally?

Is anyone else having this problem besides the few of us?

Thanks,
EQA

It has been reported (But I haven't tested it) that calling myseq remotely does not work, either by drive mapping, or unc path.

Don't know why, but I know I have read that.

I don't run this app, so I'm not an expert, but it was definitely mentioned in another thread that there are problems running on a remote machine. Let me try a search real quick...

Ok, tried a couple searches, and a search for "local" gave this result:

http://seq.sourceforge.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3270&highlight=local

Read the post called "Networked Drive."

Thanks Dedpoet! That fixed my problem. I copied the files locally and now it works.
