Red Dot issue, maps are in correct folder

i just installed following files:

Myseq-1.12.zip
myseqserverc-1.9b
seq-maps

when i hit GO i see on the server dos prompt that im connecting, but seq just shows a red dot thats it. i hit F3 100 times didnt work for me. the installpath is:C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\xxx\Desktop\seq\myseq\maps

running win2k

any1 can help ?

It's very bad practise to install or run applications from the desktop directory.
