Did full install, applied patches, got skittles :)

Don't have FOV of my player and map doesn't follow player. I do get correct map, and spawn colors when loading zone. Is there a patch that I am missing? Loaded the following:

sequp_062003.zip
seq06252003.zip

your ShowEQ box can't see packets coming FROM you EQ machine.

That would certainly make sense. Both machines are on the same subnet, and are going through a hub and not a switch, they can ping eachother... odd. Any clues on what could do this?

Is one NIC 10/100 while the other is just 10? Try using tcpdump too see what information is actualy visible from you SEQ box.

I just want to share the nature of this problem incase anyone is following the thread. Just to recap:

Got skittles.
No FOV/gps

started looking into network issue and found the following:

SEQ box (192.168.1.8) could ping gateway (192.168.1.1), but not any other machine on same subnet.
EQ box (192.168.1.2) could ping gateway and any other machine on subnet, just not the SEQ machine.
Gateway could ping both.

I have spent most of my day looking at tcpdumps, and iptables trying to figure out what was doing the filtering, as they were acting as if they were on totally different networks.

Turns out that my wife did not know the difference between a crossover slot on the hub and a normal one. She knocked it out last week cleaning.

Grats on getting it working.
