IPTables? help please I am a noob

Hi, I am trying to get my firewall which bases on IPtables to allow me to use CVS, anyone got a clue about what rule I have to set up to get this to work?

I use shorewall pretty decent firewall.. I just have no clue about IPtables and how to set them up...

I ddint find what I needed on the page you suggested.. if any smart soul with some time on their hands could post me how to make a rule to allow CVS I would be utterly greatfull
