Well, I almost asked if I could turn it off before testing it myself, but decided to give showeq --help a look through, and found the -P option

When I use seq, I use my seq box to connect to the net, and have my eq box run through it since I have a switch and not an actual hub
basically the connections look like this:

eq --- | switch | --- seq ---< Internet

so far with -P on I've had no problems, zoning, even in the bazaar with 500+ people, seq works just fine

So, the point of this post, ask if anyone has had any problems with using -P, and also to let others know, so far I've had none.. if your network is set up like mine, you should be able to -P :)

I've been running SEQ almost as long as it's been around. I have always used the -P option and have never had a problem. Since SEQ is running on your router box (and mine), it has access to all the packets being sent too and from you EQ machine, therefore promiscuous mode is not needed.
