Well, I've gotten the implicitlen() function and a bunch of opcodes done. I'm now just slogging through the rest of the opcodes.

I've attached the working decode.cpp for those that want it.

Replaced decode in your most recent tarball - no avail...still blind. :P

upgraded from 4.3.12 to 4.3.15 with the tar ball and added this decode.cpp ... rebuilt things and now I get a Seg fault when it starts seeing packets.

Thats cause it isnt done yet.

When it is done, it will no longer be 4.3.15. The version will I am sure will change to reflect the patch date updates, and our wonderfull Zaphod will post a patch and a tar of it out on his site.
