I have a fresh install of redhat 9.0 fully updated, but when i type in my terminal, gcc and <tab> <tab> (per newbie instructions) it says that i have gcc, gcc296, gccmakedep, but i have downloaded the rpm for gcc3.2.3 and installed it but when i check it again it still says the same thing, is there some detailed instructions on updating gcc ? im sure that i must be doing something wrong on my end, like always. btw i'm sorry to post this here but this is really the only linux friendly site i go to
