i managed to install seq 4.x on a fedora ago. Tried to install it on another comp but it doesnt work.
I followed the classic
make -f Makefile.dist
./configure
make
su
make install

i got the package prerequired too.
Compilation and so doing well.
Now when i launch showeq, it seems it doesnt capture any packets (i started an ethereal and nothing captured).

If any guyz would help with it, tks much

Your description is a little sketchy there, but if I understand correctly what you are saying, ie you are not seeing any packets at all in Ethereal, and assuming that you understand that you have to do a capture before anything shows up in the Ethereal packet analysis window, then I would say that the problem is not with SEQ. It is in your hardware. There are a number of possibilities.

1) Your NIC is not capable of being set to promiscuous mode. (unlikely. There are NICs that won't do promiscuous, but not many anymore.)

2) You are plugged into a switch, or there is a router between you and the EQ box, or about a dozen other possible network misconfigures. (can't really diagnose that without a diagram of your network configuration.)

3) If you have multiple NICs you might be pointing at the wrong NIC.
