Hello guys. Let me start off by saying that i am somewhat new to linux and am still a little slow when it it comes down to the good stuff. I am using Redhat 9 because that is what we are covering in school.

Now for my question. I was wondering how i could set seq up without a hub. I read the FAQ and found a little blurb about the possible setups but im a little confused. I have a router, its a D-Link DI-604. Would seq work if i had this setup?:

Cable Modem
|
Router
|
Linux Box (2 nics. 1 for the in and one for the out.)
|
EQ box (hooked to the second nic in my linux machine.)

I know some people will probably say that this has been covered before and i should have used the search feature. I did and didn't find much info that i could use. If anyone is willing to help me i would greatly appreciate it.

Yes, it will work. The only prerequisite is that the SEQ box see the EQ packets too and from the box you are running EQ on. In the topology you describe above, the traffic is passing through the Linux box, where SEQ is running. So you're good to go.
