CVS Connection Problem

I'm trying to grab the latest CVS release, but I am being refused a connection. Any ideas? (no password used) Using Mandrake 10, and cvs 1.11.11

[LeftDogNut]$ export CVSROOT=:pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/seq

[LeftDogNut]$ cvs login

cvs [login aborted]: connect to cvs.sourceforge.net(66.35.250.207):2401 failed: Connection refused

Happens to me intermittently too. At the moment I have a new problem, it lets me login and start the update, but when it gets to

cvs update: Updating showeq/src

it just hangs....

It already went through showeq/conf, showeq/docs etc... ah, now it finally timed out after all that. Not sure what that is all about, but it has been happening to me for the last few days when I attempt to do the update.
