CVS problems

I am a new user ( 3 months ) to Linux and I have never used cvs. I run Fedora Core 2 atm, and attempts to cvs do nothing. Well, not nothing, it says bash: cvs: command not found. Anyone have any help for me?

Sounds like not all the packages are installed.

Honestly I would do a re-install, but this time select everything.

If you dont feel like doing that, you can just rpm install cvs, but I have a feeling you will be missing quite a few packages that are going to be needed.

man yum

If yum is installed, man will work.

Otherwise, Google for something like "yum yellowdog updater". Should come up with a link to a duke.edu site that has yum.

I discovered this tool about 4 months ago, and it's the way RPM should have been done to begin with.

Find the version appropriate for you.

I know it works on most versions of RH, but unsure about other distros. YMMV.

I just reinstalled FC2 due to a new HD, so a re-install is no biggie. I can do that, or try yum, I will post with results. Thx.
