A few things...

Is it possible to have the maps stay at a certain zoom percentage when you zone instead of defaulting back to 1%? I nuisance to say the least but will live with it if nothing can be done.

Also, I can see the maps and my location within them but I cant see other people unless I target them and only a mob or two in each zone even though i have been in the zones for quite sometime.

Any ideas?

I would second this, I would love that feature. I sometimes have one big map open that it zoomed out, but another smaller that is zoomed in 2 or 3 times. Would be great if that setting stayed.

on a per map basis or just blindly for all zones when you zone?

The problem is that the zoom is set by the overall size of the map that is being zoomed as it is currently scaled by a factor of 1/(zoom setting).

e.g.
1/1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, etc.... up to 1/32

It is technically feasable though. I would just have to work out the details of the rigging.
