With my old Celeron 800mhz with 512 meg RAM linux box, it would take 30-45 minutes to do a full compile of showeq.

I've built an AMD64 3500+ with a gig of RAM and got to the point of compiling showeq to see how fast it would be.

Compiling the .16a tarball took about 3 minutes. I like it!

Lol...grats. I think you went a little overboard on it :) I hope it is going to be used for something other than SEQ. Hell that blows away my main windows machine.

Im running my showeq/webserver on a dual p3 500 POS. The PS fan is going on it. It has RH 7.3 on it.

Bringing up a new small server. It is the size of a cereal box. It has an eden 1ghz processor. Ive had it for about 2 years now, but am putting it in a new role as my main server. See if it chokes or not. Fedora C3 seems to like it. Only issue I have with it is the sound. For some reason I cant get it to work under linux (detects it. says it works (other people have it working) but cant get it to work).

I'll run a small game server on it as well. Overkill - yes. But I had fun building it :)
