I got this out of the install.newbies file.

1.4 Compiling ShowEQ
Configuring and compiling ShowEQ 5:
# cd /seq
# tar -xjvf showeq-maps-<version>.tar.bz2 :eek:
# cd /seq/showeq-<version>
# ./configure
# make
# make install


1.5 Installing the ShowEQ Maps
Configure and install ShowEQ Maps:
# cd /seq
# tar -xjvf showeq-maps-<version>.tar.bz2
# cd /seq/showeq-maps-<version>.tar.bz2
# ./configure
# make install

it dont look right in step 1.4

Those instructions are for an official release. 5.0.0.17 hasn't been officially released so there's no tarball to build from yet. I'm guessing from your other thread that you realized that and got source from CVS.
