Today they turned compression back on (thank god!) As well as another randomization of the op codes.

I'm sure the powers that be (purple, et al) will be working on it as their time permits.

We know it's broke, no need to post that fact. In the mean time, get ready to start working on OP Codes and structures once again!

trying not to bug the powers that be..how can you tell compression is back on. is there something we can do so we have it turned 'on', so we can help track down op codes?

I know I turned on (Network->Log->Unknown Zone) and then started tailing the unknownzone.log file, but it just started spitting out huge amounts of data.

We know that (some) packets are being compressed because the devs have said so in multiple public venues.

There's no way to toggle de-compression 'on' in showeq... even if there was, it wouldn't help much because only some packets seem to be compressed atm and part of the work is figuring out which ones need to be decompressed (overheard in #showeq).
