I installed showeq5.2.4 by compiling the source files on an Ubuntu 5.1 distro..it worked just great...now that 5.2.5 is out i downloaded and did the same proccess to complile and install..worked just great.

the question is...been a linux newp I was wondering if i had to uninstall previous version of showeq before installing the new one just to clean up junk files or something.

each new tarball of showeq makes a new directory wheverever you untar it. Once newer version are released, you can safely delete any old source directories.

There's no need to uninstall anything. the new executable will overwrite the old ones in the /usr/local/bin , or whever it lands

If you'd install it via the ubuntu package you won't have to worry about it.

I'm running Breezy, and I can't find the packages for this release anywhere. The site in your .Sig only seems to have debian releases.. Can you point me in a direction?

Thanks,
