^^ Was wondering if there was a way to filter out showing dead player corpses from the map as on the combine there are so many it fills up every zone I zone into. Also is it possible to have SEQ make a sound when it detects a certain mob spawning?

right click on the map in showeq and select edit map icons, I did the same thing for progression server, corpses all over.. wish soe would go back to your corpse going away once you loot it all.

You can add a filtered-level filter for NPC:2 to drop player corpses from the map and spawn list.

You can use filters in combintation with audio commands to play sounds when things spawn.

showeq crashes when I zone into certain zones such as lavastorm and north karana. is there anyway to fix that?

i read through older posts and found a fix for the crashing. now the only problem i have is that my maps are not automatically being opened when I zone. i have to manually open every map after I zone. i tried looking for a fix but I haven't been able to find one that I completely understand. I am a linux and showeq noob as I downloaded my first linux 2 days ago just so that I could run showeq.

Usually not loading maps means:

a) there was a patch and seq is broken (although there was a patch today, people are saying that seq is still working atm)

b) you either didn't install maps or don't have them in the right location.

Since you say you can load the map manually, my best guess would be that you need to put them in the right location. There's a couple places you could put your maps:

/root/.showeq/maps
$PREFIX/share/showeq/maps

$PREFIX is usually /usr/local if you built it yourself, which would make that /usr/local/share/showeq/maps. However, if you're using my RPMs, $PREFIX is /usr, so the default location for maps on my RPMs is /usr/share/showeq/maps

Anyway, make sure you've got your maps in the right place :)

purple said that there are filters you can use to track spawns. can someone give me a quick rundown on how to use filters or a link to a read telling me how to use filters. i read that you can mark certain spawns as rares and have them show up with a blinking yellow circle. how do i do that?
