Now I feel like an Idiot LOL- What am I missing?

SEQ compiles and runs... but reports no data?

I have SEQ on a Averatec Laptop and EQ client on my regular desktop machine.
I have them both hooked to a 3COM Office connect 8 port HUB whick is in turn hooked to the router.
eth0 is the correct card
TCPDUMP on the SEQ box reports all kinds of EQ activity

I tried seaching for the next EQ client and setting the IP address (192.168.1.102)

[root@localhost ~]# cd /usr/local/bin
[root@localhost bin]# ./showeq --ip-address=192.168.1.102

And you zoned after launching SEQ?

And you zoned after launching SEQ?

Yes - numerous times... (I am familiar with using SEQ - but not very literate at the programming level - but have used it under older Red Hat version, Under Mandrake 8 and FC4 - and remember zoning would re-seed the data to the program so to speak.)

So yes - I did try zoning but no success... I did notice a change in Hard drive activity upon zoning on the SEQ box... but no data displayed...

I have just downloaded FC4 DVD and have just wiped my previous FC6 installation and I am now trying FC4... I used to have it working under FC4 so it should be interesting if I can do so again... I wonder if the problem resides in FC6?

I guess tomorrow I will re post my result... successful or not :o

And what does SEQ show on the command line while you are zoning... though I guess it is too late for that

LOL - - not to to late - I did check the terminal window on zoning before.. absolutely NO CHANGE at the command line - it was like SEQ was not open to receive.

Well - once the full install of FC4 finished it was a total about 10 minutes from start to finish to re-download and compile SEQ - and no problems with the version.h file like I had with FC6 and SEQ ran first shot... and grabbed data first shot... works perfectly... :D

Will have to go get maps and stuff later but I would have to say that my experience with SEQ under FC6 was less than stellar...
